When Timmy loses a sock, he doesn’t just shrug and look under the bed—he takes action. One ordinary laundry day, he opens the washing machine and realizes his favorite blue sock is missing. Determined to solve the mystery, Timmy reaches into the back of the washer and suddenly gets pulled into a swirling tunnel of light and lint. When he lands with a soft plop, he’s no longer in his laundry room. He’s in Sockland.
Sockland is a colorful, bouncy world made entirely of socks. Sock trees grow mismatched pairs as fruit, rivers of soft fabric flow gently through valleys of wool, and sock citizens hop around happily, enjoying their second life. There are ankle socks, knee-highs, fuzzy winter socks, and even socks with little holes who’ve found new purpose. They live in drawers made of cotton clouds and ride around in slipper-cars.
Timmy is amazed. He meets Sir Stripe, a brave warrior sock with a faded red line down his side, and Princess Toestella, a sparkly pink sock who once belonged to a ballerina. They explain that every time a sock is lost—stuck in a machine, dropped behind the dryer, or accidentally thrown out—it magically finds its way to Sockland. Here, socks are free to live without being squished in shoes or separated from their partners.
But not all is perfect. Some socks are still sad, missing their human friends or wondering why they were forgotten. Timmy promises to help. With Sir Stripe’s help, he builds the Great Sock Sorter, a machine that connects Sockland back to the human world. Now, if someone truly misses a sock and looks hard enough, the sock can return—washed, mended, and ready for new adventures.
Before Timmy leaves, the socks throw him a farewell party with music made from spinning dryers and cupcakes baked in warm laundry baskets. He hugs Princess Toestella goodbye and steps back through the tunnel, arriving home just as the dryer buzzes. To his amazement, his missing sock lies right on top—clean, warm, and whole.
Now, every time Timmy loses a sock, he smiles. He knows it might just be visiting old friends in Sockland, the magical land where no sock is ever truly lost—just exploring until it’s needed again.
